Neo-Archaism and Its Impact on Islamic Republic of Iran's Cultural-Political Security

Abstract Archaism as a gradual and growing phenomenon in Iranian society have cultural, political, historical, and security implications. This articles seeks to answer how this phenomenon will impact the cultural-political security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The authors argue that the Aryan archaism discourse is different than citizen-centered nationalism and can lead to a chaotic political-cultural structure. The reason is archaism discourse is an "interpretive reaction" and a "structure-breaking narrative", which provides a platform for delegitimization and identify reassessment through "framework building", "historicism" and "representation" and poses a threat to socio-political coherence and stability through promoting "resistance identity" and "heterotrophism".

Abstract Islamic republic of Iran, like other countries, tries to reach an assured defence power against its military threats. This assured defence power may cause security concerns of neighbor states, and mutually provoke them to improve their defence power. This situation is called security dilemma in strategic studies. The question of this article is that: how can we improve our defence power without causing arms race, increasing military threats, and other insecurities? Author argues that un-provocative defence strategy is the best way to assure defence power, while avoiding security dilemma.

Abstract Academic books and resources as one of the main references in studying the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran are focused and considered in this paper. Therefore, the paper attempts to find out what principles and foundations are introduced in those texts? Based on this paper's hypothesis, the main concern of these texts has been the conflict of Idealism versus Realism which is illustrated in three sections: historical aspect, Idealism versus Realism in the context of the Revolutionary, Islamic and Nationalistic approaches and finally some suggestions to coupe with paradoxical issues in this regard.

Abstract Security studies inIrando not have a long history. However, studying security developments, as a small part of that bigger area is even newer. In fact, there exist many views and analyses on the very society and national security ofIranwhich have been raised by thinkers and researchers of security studies. Abstract The new wave of terrorist actions, so called the modern terrorism, at the best one was appeared in September 11 2001. In respond to September 11 attack and confronting with it, U.S. was transformed the operational environment to the Middle East region that overlapping with the Islamic Republic of Iran's national security environment. So it is necessity to explore the modern terrorism and determining its threat on the IRI's national interests. What is distinguishing the modern terrorism that the components such as identity – based, the globosity, inciting and one dimensioned and its distinct manner is the assassin operations. If this new wave is threaten the IRI's national interests, it could be effectively affect on the national characteristics in the domestic dimensions and ideological approach of IRI in the regional environment.Here author is suggesting some recommendations for preventing and confronting with these threats such as covert action with induced current, embraced controlling and managing of mass media, substitute process management on crisis management, preventing the nuclear terrorism and choosing the open combat in the necessary.
