Abstract This article intends to explore what approach can help the Islamic Republic of Iran and the West cooperate and interact in a desirable way in the era of globalization. The study's hypothesis is that "adopting Habermas' liberating hermeneutics based on dialogue, action, and communicative rationality as well as criticism of tradition and historical prejudices in the era of globalization can help create understanding and relative agreement between Iran and the West so that their interests can be served."

Abstract The relationship between security and freedom is an issue which many of thinkers, politicians and even the masses have paid attention, and so consideration of its theoretical as well as practical aspects is of a very high significance. Therefore, taking into account the concept of sustainable development, this paper aims to consider the theoretical relationship between security and freedom. The main qustion of this paper is as follows: what kind of relationship between security and freedom contributes to realization of sustainable development?   To answer this question, the paper, first defines the concepts of security and freedom and then, based on rationality as their common element in respect to sustainable development it focuses on the type and amount of required relationship between the two concepts to realize the concept of sustainable development. .

Abstract Models of studies of politics are conceptual models which can be used in analysis of Public Policy. This paper focuses on analysis of Public Policy through the prism of institutional, process, group, elites, rational, game theories, public choice and systems. This paper shows whether each model and theory provides rather practical possibilities for the officials or they are useful instruments for analysts of social problems. This discussion also shows which of them can assist us in understanding of various activities involving in Public Policy and which one is appropriate for evaluation and criticism of the process of policy making. Finally, the author offers some general criteria which can be constructive in recognizing efficacy of these concepts and models as well as their evaluation through framework of Public Policy.
