In this way, the main issue to discuss is that how culture can shape security in a political system? To answer this question, the author states that culture is not an actor and its role in shaping security is done through discourses and generations. Based on the theoretical framework of this paper, security of a political system is a result of compatibility of cultural discourses governing the state, current generation and old generations and if these three are not compatible to each other instability and disorder can emerge consequently. For the author, this conceptual framework can easily explain the issue of security in the Islamic Republic of Iran and so he offers some proposals about policy making in the field of national security of the country. مقاله حاضر به دنبال تبیین نسبت فرهنگ و امنیت نظام جمهوری اسلامی ایران است. مسئله اصلی نویسنده آن است که فرهنگ چگونه در شکل‌گیری امنیت نظام‌های سیاسی نقش‌آفرینی می‌کند. نویسنده در پاسخ به این سؤال مدعی است فرهنگ کنش‌گر نیست و تأثیر آن بر امنیت از ره‌گذر گفتمان‌ها و نسل‌های انسانی حاصل می‌شود. بر اساس چارچوب نظری ارائه‌شده در این مقاله، امنیت نظام سیاسی اساساً محصول سازگاری میان گفتمان‌های فرهنگی حاکم بر دولت، نسل زنده و نسل‌های پیشین است و ناسازگاری میان این سه گفتمان نیز منشأ ناامنی و بی‌ثباتی معرفی می‌شود. نویسنده بر آن است که این چارچوب نظری به خوبی امنیت نظام جمهوری اسلامی ایران را تبیین می‌کند و بر این اساس، پیشنهاد‌های سیاست‌گذارانه‌ای در حوزه امنیت ملی جمهوری اسلامی ایران ارائه کرده است. https://quarterly.risstudies.org/article_13091_5fbcba6b94d471416a45a34246e4403b.pdf
