In practice, the results of cultural diplomacy so far have not been satisfactory compared to the huge potential of the country. Despite some important achievements, this diplomacy has not been able to play a strong role in strengthening Iran's "international acceptance" status. Accordingly, the question of the article is why the cultural diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has not been able to have a significant impact on improving Iran's international status. In response to this question, the article addresses the problems and challenges of Iranian cultural diplomacy. Lack of a coherent strategy, neglect of the private sector, weakness of government agents, overcoming ideological views and the multiplicity of policy institutions are the most important factors involved in weakening the country's cultural diplomacy. This article, after reviewing and analyzing the issues, will reach some suggestions for the efficiency of cultural diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. با توجه به مزیت‌های فرهنگی- تمدنی ایران، استفاده از دیپلماسی فرهنگی می‌تواند نقش مهمی در بهبود قدرت نرم و تأمین منافع ملی این کشور داشته باشد. در عمل، تاکنون نتایج حاصل از دیپلماسی فرهنگی در مقایسه با پتانسیل‌های عظیم کشور رضایت‌بخش نبوده است. با وجود بعضی دستاوردهای مهم، این دیپلماسی نتوانسته در تقویت وضع «پذیرش بین‌المللی» ایران نقش قدرتمندی بازی کند. بر این مبنا، سؤال مقاله این است که چرا دیپلماسی فرهنگی جمهوری اسلامی ایران نتوانسته در بهبود جایگاه بین‌المللی ایران تأثیر چشمگیری داشته باشد. در پاسخ به این پرسش، مقاله به مشکلات و چالش‌های دیپلماسی فرهنگی ایران می‌پردازد. فقدان استراتژی منسجم، غفلت از بخش خصوصی، ضعف کارگزاران دولتی، غلبه نگاه ایدئولوژیک و تعدد نهادهای سیاستگذاری مهمترین عوامل دخیل در تضعیف دیپلماسی فرهنگی کشور هستند. این مقاله پس از بررسی و تحلیل مسائل، به پیشنهادهایی برای کارآمدسازی دیپلماسی فرهنگی جمهوری اسلامی ایران خواهد رسید.   https://quarterly.risstudies.org/article_141376_8d5a1cf3fd8dbd1ccfc1097006fba804.pdf
